The film is both a reboot as well as the second sequel to Big Momma's House (2000) and starring Martin Lawrence Big Momma's House 3 reprising his role as FBI agent Malcolm Turner. Jascha Washington declined to reprise his role as Trent Pierce from the first two films, and Brandon T. Jackson Big Momma's House 3 replaced him for his role. It is scheduled to be released on February 18, 2011. Malcolm Turner (Martin Lawrence) has been going undercover as "Big Momma". This time around, his teenage stepson Big Momma's House 3 Trent Pierce (Brandon T. Jackson) visits him while he is working on a case and witnesses a murder.
